We were fortunate enough to already have our own bore pump, pipelines, and 110,000 litre storage tank on the property. It wasn't working, but we won't worry about that!
The challenge was getting the water to the areas we need it. We also wanted to utilise rainwater as much as possible from the buildings. So we have a 10,000 litre rainwater tank linked to the machinery shed, which can supply the house or garden irrigation line.
We also had two 3,000 litre slimline tanks installed under the Little House, which provide rainwater for the kitchen, bathroom, etc.
The next challenge is to extend the main pipeline down to the Garden Studio for irrigation.
Irrigation line to the Garden Studio- April 2017
The irrigation pipeline has now been extended another 150m from the Little House, giving water access to our portable irrigator and the Garden Studio. Here you can see me looking very pleased with the water pressure! Thanks to Cody James from Royal Flush Plumbing for his assistance in extending the irrigation line.
